HVAC in the Building:

  • In 2004, a new heating and cooling equipment was installed to eliminate dependency of being connected to an aging steam and chilled water loop.
  • The new plant included high-efficiency chillers, VFD equipped cooling towers, gas fired boilers, and plate and frame heat exchangers for “free cooling” during off months.
  • The plant is controlled by a computerized energy management system which records power consumption and monitors the changing temperature requirements on each floor zone by zone throughout the day.
  • The $2.7 million project yields an average annual cost savings for the tenants of approximately $500,000.

The standard Building hours of operation for heating and air conditioning in the Building common areas and service corridors are as follows:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Sunday: NONE
  • Holidays: NONE

If the temperature in your office needs adjustment, please contact the Building Management Office. Your call will be referred immediately to engineering personnel. Special arrangements should be made for any HVAC needed outside of those hours.
